Step into the shadows with SA Dasher Nights, a darker twist on the iconic Dasher set. Designed by Jeremy Yuenger, this extension of the SA Dasher & Dancer family brings deeper blues, sleek accents, and expanded coverage for modern layouts—including ortho and ISO. Inspired by vintage terminals of the late '70s, with a slightly sinister, retro-futuristic edge, it’s a fresh take that stays true to its roots.

Crafted in our Signature SA profile with double-shot ABS, SA Dasher Nights combines durability with an unmistakable aesthetic. Whether you’re pairing it with older sets like Dancer or Danger Zone, or using it on its own, it gives your board a sharp, moody look that stands out.

A Darker Take on Dasher

SA Dasher Nights brings a darker, moodier twist to the iconic Dasher set. The rich navy blue base, paired with light blue accents, offers both style and versatility. With expanded coverage for layouts like 40%, ortho, ISO, and more, it’s perfect for enthusiasts who appreciate both function and nostalgia. Bonus: sleek arrow symbols and gamer-friendly WASD keys add a modern touch that stands out.

A Tribute with a Modern Edge

SA Dasher Nights is more than just a recolor—it’s a modern tribute to beloved sets like Dasher & Dancer. With a deep navy base inspired by Danger Zone and striking light blue accents, it creates a bold contrast that gives your board an otherworldly edge. Mix it with older sets to expand your board’s coverage, or run it solo for a sleek, retro-futuristic vibe that stands apart.

The Story, from Jeremy Yuenger

I’ve wanted to design a Signature SA set forever. So, I came up with the idea of a dark variant of Dasher that could stand on its own but also act as a glorified moogle kit for sets like Dancer, Danger Zone, Mechanist, Calm Depths, and other older blue sets.

As the name implies, SA Dasher Nights is basically a dark variant of Dasher. You can use it as a monotone navy blue set, brighten it up with optional Dancer-colored accents, or mix and match it with old Dasher & Dancer sets to extend their coverage.

Nights uses Danger Zone’s BFU navy blue as its base, with Dasher & Dancer’s BBJ light blue for its legends and accents. While no new molds were used, I did try to match existing legends used on vintage Dasher terminals, such as Rub Out (from the Dasher D1), New Line (Dasher D200), and Command for the OS key, used across various Dasher models.

I initially pitched Nights as a narrow 75%/TKL monokit with minimal 40’s support, aimed at avoiding orphaned child kits. Signature Plastics suggested expanding the kitting to match their broader SA Standard black and white sets.

As a result, Nights now supports a wide range of layouts, including most 40’s setups, ortho boards, UK ISO, Alice, and the usual 60-100% ANSI layouts, Tsangan, HHKB, and more. The accent kit even includes gamer-friendly WASD keys, which I haven’t seen in an SA set for a while. Finally, Nights uses arrow symbols instead of text directional legends—these are the newer, thinner arrows that first debuted with Fledgling.

I’m excited to see how people use this set—not just as a standalone, but as a way to complete or extend their favorite classic blue kits. SA Dasher Nights was designed to both honor and evolve the legacy of sets like Dasher&Dancer, and I hope it finds a place in your collection.
