Signature Plastics to Be Acquired by Group of Mechanical Keyboard Enthusiasts
We’re excited to share that Signature Plastics has entered into an agreement to be acquired by a Portland-based investment group led by longtime mechanical keyboard enthusiast Will Clark! This group of passionate keyboard fans is deeply rooted in the hobby and is set to guide Signature Plastics into a new era, while keeping everything you love about the company intact.
This transition follows the planned retirement of our majority owner Bob Guenser. Signature Plastics will continue to operate from our Custer, WA factory, maintaining our team and our unwavering commitment to high-quality, USA-made keycaps.
Will Clark and his fellow investors bring decades of experience in technology, e-commerce, and the mechanical keyboard community. Will, a Signature Plastics customer since 2016, has already joined our leadership team to oversee marketing as we move towards finalizing the acquisition in early 2025.
Hear from Will himself—He sat down with Taeha Types for an exclusive interview where they discussed the vision behind the acquisition and how it will ensure Signature Plastics remains at the forefront of keycap craftsmanship.
Key Points:
-
Continuity: Our Custer, WA factory will keep producing high-quality, USA-made keycaps.
-
Team Retention: All current staff, including minority owner Melissa Petersen, will remain with the company.
-
New Leadership: Will Clark joins as part of the leadership team, overseeing marketing as the acquisition progresses.
